What of the best tool for browsing hdd as physical device ? i mean see as hex dump sectors, browse per sectors, save some dumps in files/etc. I already use: RDBArc15 for work with RDC (save/write rdb data) but is so easy and have only some basis function. Well, someone can said somethink about it ? 2. hex editor tools. I already use zaphod, azap and filex. All is good, but noone not allow to copy all data as offest: hex : ascii in file. Hmm... I can't think of any that do what you are asking. Although there was a bootblock virus detector for floppies that would do hex dumps... I don't even remember what it was called. I'm certain that it was commercial and intended for Kickstart 1.3.
As for hex editors I always used the hex dump utility in ZShell. I don't think it supports copy operations though. Maybe you'll have to code one yourself. Hex editors aren't very complicated. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. :-( |
