Default J.S. Technology's RGB to S-Video converter - any good?

I was just looking at J.S. Technology's RGB to S-Video converter, and wondering if it would work great with my Amigas. I'm thinking of using a video card on a PC to capture the S-Video signal.

Does any of you have experience with this converter (or similar)? Is the quality usable?

Looking at the price, I'm sure J.S. Technology has the Amiga enthusiast in mind.. :-D

A modded modulator would definitely be a cheaper choice :-D Unfortunately, I don't have any modulators right now. Maybe someone will sell me a pre-modded one?

I'm still curious whether the whole s-video capturing idea is a good one. Someone must be doing this, tell me if it's working out :-)

I bought a genlock interface for 8€ (ebay) - works like a charm running into the S-Video input of my video card. :-D
