Default WANTED: Software disk for DKB 3128

Hi,

I have a DKB 3128 ram expansion board, but unfortuanately I haven't got the install disk :-(

Anyone out there that can help me out, by sending the contents of the disk to my email? An ADF file or a DMS file wouldn't be a problem either.

@ DoctorQ

Are you putting a DKB3128 in that A4KT system?
That is one mean classic machine, my good man. Surely there will be no more space in there afterwards.
Its nice to have the disk (for completeness sake) but I found that I didn't have to install anything to get the DKB recognised, even when I only had 3.1 on my A4KT.

Thanks, that's good to know. I was thinking about pulling
my 3128 out of my 2.04 3000 and installing in my A4000. (3.9)
Now that I lost the ram that was installed on my dead
MKIII/060, 16meg is too small for my work.

For the current time the board is in my Amiga 4000, but because of lack of space I had to remove my PCI TV card. The DKB board also has some issues with Mediator anyway, so it's not staying there.

I don't need the disk as the board is fully maxed out with 128 MB ram, but would like to have it in order to make it a complete set.

@amiwalker

Yes, I know the software is only needed if different simm sizes are used, but as said above, I need it to have a complete set.

I managed to get 64 MB installed at first, then 80 MB, but then I took the simms from my CSPPC board an it finally found 128 MB.

Btw. I have a WarpEngine 4040 as well, it has 128 MB installed :-)

For me it involved replacing the Voodoo 4 4500 with a Voodoo 3 3000. The Voodoo 4 4500 needs a jumper installed on the WINSIZE jumper, otherwise the Voodoo 4 4500 isn't usable. If the jumper is set and the DKB board installed, the DKB board will show up as defective in the Early boot menu.

I believe that this problem only occurs with a Voodoo 4 4500, as this is the only board that needs the WINSIZE jumper installed IIRC. Haven't got a Voodoo 5 5500 (even though I wouldn't mind having one) so I can't confirm it :-(

I can top this:
128MB on CS MKII 060@60MHz
128 MB on DKB3128
64 MB on Fastlane Z3
16MB on A3000T Mobo

making a grand total of 336 MB of Fast-RAM.

Still searching for a "golden" FastleZ3 (256MB) though so I can almost burn a CD directly from RAM-Disk ;-)

Lol, I can do just fine the 128 MB on my CSPPC. I think I can live with the 5 minutes it takes me to make a 700 MB CD.

The only reason for having the software for this card is so that the card will recognize different size simms.

Speaking of simms. Only use FAST PAGE type. DO NOT USE EDO TYPE SIMMS.

I did this, I installed 4 32MB EDO simms and my A3000D only to find out that the first 64MB was recognized by the A3000.

I corrected this problem by installing 4 32MB FAST PAGE simms.

All is OK now. I also have 64MB on My Warpengine 040.

Life is GOOD with the Amiga on my desk!!!
