PS3 quality won't be any problem for your machine, you can run many games in 1920x1080, PS3 runs most games in 1280x720 and many times it's scaled from a lower resolution and there are not many unscaled 1920x1080 games for ps3.
So yes you can play most in ps3 like settings and some higher.
Don't forget that using digital output on a plasma often require under/overscan tweaking but it's trivial and easy done in nvidias control panel.
You will also have ****loads faster loading times.
Some games work ok with a gamepad on pc also like Skyrim and Fallout since they are console ports.
