In the last issue of Amiga Future magazine, the price of the AmigaOne X1000 was hinted to be around 1500 Euro, hopefully not higher. There was no mention of the VAT included or not, so I take the worst case without VAT. VAT in European Union is around 20%. This price does not include shipping which may be 100 Euro for cheapest delivery possible, including insurance. So to have AmigaOne X1000 for me I will have to pay 1800 Euro.

The price may sound high, especially in today's economy...

Ten years ago the Amiga computing was an exciting hobby. There was only one AmigaOS, only one hardware platform (today it is called classic Amiga or 68K). AmigaOS 3.9 was released and then all went wrong. Today you can hardly call all these people visiting the Amiga forums, with so many different goals, a community.

Small crowd of the people care only about the classic Amiga. The love to play classic games on Amiga 500, Amiga A1200 even Amiga 4000. Most of them have accelerator boards...
