| I just registered, why can't I log in? |
| When you register for Amiga.org, your account is set to moderated, meaning that before it becomes live, a moderator or admin has to look your account over to make sure you're not a spammer. Once approved, you should get an e-mail from us (provided the address you gave us was valid) and be able to log in. Why do we do this? We were forced to go back to moderated account creation because of spam bot abuse. We apologize for any inconvenience, but as always, appreciate your support |
| Why can't I use my gmail, yahoo, or hotmail account to register? |
We apologize, but when registering for an account with Amiga.org, we have been forced by spammers (and spambots) to exclude the following e-mail addresses from being used;
We have nothing against these companies or their e-mail services. The unfortunate fact is that 99.9% of the spambot attacks we get use one or more of the above addresses. We tried moderating those accounts, but the spambots kept coming back by changing their scripts a little to compensate. As such -- again, we apologize -- but we have decided it would be best to require you to use a legitimate e-mail address to register. |
