Hello,
I've tried searching for an answer but couldn't find one.

I have an Amiga A 1200 HD (NTSC) that I bought for Deluxe Paint. Everything runs fine, (the Workbench and Deluxe Paint 3+4), until I try running the games included with the Amiga Magic bundle. Pinball Mania's screen is too low, so the bottom is cut off. The game 'Whizz' Shows a software company screen and beginning animation cartoon just fine, but when I get to the title screen and while the game plays, the screen constantly rolls downward. Those are the only games I've tried/have.

I've tried connecting the Amiga through a composite cable to a Sony Bravia LCD and a large CRT television with the same results. I don't have a monitor to try the RF cable.

Do I need to buy something else to make it run properly? I'm just trying to find out if the computer is damaged.

Thank you.

I bought Amiga Forever and have been playing with it off and on for some time, but I've barely figured out how to do much with the workbenches. I grew up using GEOS on an old C64 my family has, and learned to use Windows and Mac pretty well in school, but with Amiga there's a lot of things I simply haven't been able to figure out how to do. For example, I would like to set a different backdrop on Workbench 3.x. I figured out where to change the backdrop in the preferences, but I don't know what file types I can use of how to get images to begin with to set up as a backdrop. I know using an emulator isn't the same as using the actual system.

I've checked used book stores in my area for Amiga books with no luck. I've also searched the web, but all I keep finding are pdfs of old programming books, and the Amiga videos I find on Youtube haven't helped much. I also tried the links on the Tutorial list thread, but half of them are dead to begin with and the ones that are active don't really give me the information I need. I need something on the lines of "Amiga for Dummies".

Any suggestions?

Hello,

I use to play regularly games from compilations in my CD32. I have a Competition pro CD32 pad and a Boomerang one as well. (I've just bought the CD32 original pad but it didn't came yet).
The problem is that in some games the fire button work bad or doesn't work at all.
Par example: Games like Gods work always well. In Leander starts well but after a while the fire button stops working. In Lionheart with the Competition pro the fire button never work but with the Boomerang it works but the direction button don't.
Please; Anyone could help?

Thank you very much and regards

Guillermo.

How much interest would there be in replacement Matsumi A500 keyboard membranes at £20 each? - I would need to order 250 to get that sort of price (!) so this is only tentative at the moment.

Would these also fit the A500+ ?

I did consider membranes for the A600 and A1200 but unfortunately, there just does not seem enough interest at the moment to justify the investment.

I know these don't play ball, get some crazy results with some games. But I'm looking at whdload cleanup and startup.

There's a line in there to start/stop AmiTCP, the example uses x-surf. I've been trying to get this to work with the fastethernet.device that comes with the Mediator.

It states resource in use or something a long those lines, I think I know what it is. I can't get the startnet cli to close as I have it starting on boot.

I've tried endcli in the script but still doesn't close. I tried calling it with the execute command in user-startup instead of the run option but endcli still doesn't work.

I've googled this but the only solution that was suggested was using arexx and place startnet in wbstartup.

However it still doesn't close the window on it's own but you do get the option to close the window which doesn't happen when it is called from user-startup.

Is there something I'm overlooking?

Also trying to improve the speed of the voodoo using warp3d, is it usual for it to be very slow?

After all this just have the sound card to go :-)
