Okay, here's a phrase I'm getting really, really tired of hearing: "Sure, *list of damning indictments,* but at least they're doing something!"

So what should a new Amiga be?
This is where we move away from stuff that could be said to be grounded in facts and get into opinions. These are my personal opinions, and I'm not going to tell you you're wrong if you disagree.

It should be 68k-based.
No disrespect to the PPC fans here, but I still can't get over how friendly the 68000 architecture is. This is the processor you'd want to learn assembler on, and it's just as beautifully suitable for high-level programming....

There's a lot of talk around here about "the future of the Amiga." Many opinions are expressed on the subject, and I've shot off my mouth on the subject more than once. What I want to do here is lay out, for the record, exactly what I think about all this.

The Amiga is not dead.
