Well I've made the leap to an AROS-only setup!

I bought a computer from my sister, it's an e-Machines that's about 2 years old. It's a 2.2 GHZ AMD Semperon with 512 MB RAM and a 80 GB HDD. It had Winblowz XP on it, which I couldent stand... I decided to see if AROS would run on it, and not only does it run... but it runs WELL! - The graphics card, NIC, USB keyboard and USB mouse all work fine. The only thing that does not work is the built-in AC'97 sound card. Though I don't need...

I have been contemplating over if I should / should not spend the 170+ dollars on a MiniMig system from AmigaKit or if I should build a cheap PC, and have a bootable Amiga OS 1.3 CF card using a minimal FreeDOS (i.e. kernel.sys, command.com, ctmouse.exe) with DOS Fellow or DOS UAE.

I found through Google a $33 Celeron 1.7 GHZ mini ATX PC motherboard, sold through several reputable sites. Several of them don't charge shipping either! I already have RAM, PSU and the CF card to IDE adaptor....

I was wondering not too long ago what Amiga stuff was left in our attic. So I went up there to see, and found our Amiga 1000 box, the 1080 monitor box and a couple game boxes.

The game boxes I found are Marble Madness, Indiana Jones, Ferrari Formula One, Lemmings, Kings Quest V, and Starglider. I also found some application boxes and documents: Deluxe Video and our Wordperfect box / documentation.

The boxes seemed to be deteriorating badly up in the attic so I moved...
