AMOS code, simple tile-based level routine for a game

Some tips: Change the Paste Bob command to Paste Icon and it will go faster since it doesn't need to mask the blit.

Also, storing as data statements uses 4 bytes per cell. Since an Icon Bank can only hold 4096 images maximum, you'll only need 2 bytes per cell and still have 4 bits left over for flags. If you use Deek and Doke to read addresses from a work bank, it will use half the memory and be twice as fast on 16-bit Amigas.

For an example of how to load a file into a work bank see the last example in this thread. It uses a Print$ command to print it as text but you can replace it with your tile printing loop.

Yes multiscan works with the adapter, but if i remember correctly it didn't provide a good picture on one of my LCDs(a really old one), but with my viewsonic vx922 it works and gives a good picture with multiscan.

Hmm... you might be right there...

Just to be on the safe side when/if it arrives I'll make a special suicide bombers vest for it with all that Hydrogen Peroxide I bought to make retrobrite and explode the thing in me back garden... :)

Us Amiganiac FundaMentalists can't be too careful you know... ;)

    Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

I know the feeling when it comes to the postal service, it's the same here... :(

One of the A1200s I bought recently on eBay was sent by the seller on the 22nd via Royal Mails 24Hour service, just got an email from the seller yesterday who had been told by Royal Mail that the package had been "temporarily mislaid" and would be delivered today... :(

Well, the delivery vans just been and gone from our street for today and still no A1200, reckon whomever "temporarily mislaid" it gave it to someone else who's "temporarily mislaid" it... oh gawd...

    Quit "smoking" (Snus, not cigarettes)

Well it had somehow transformed from a pleasure to something needed for making a normal day, well, normal.

So I don't feel that it was giving me a "good time", at best it just gives me "normal time".

Oh #¤%¤ I have to stop writing about it and do something else to keep my mind occupied!
    bye bye!

Thanks for the support Franko! =)

Nah... you don't wanna give up it's one of the best pleasures in life... :)

Tried them patches meself once but could never get them to stay lit...

The gum burns well but make a hell of mess of your lips with blisters...

Was told about 3 years ago to give up after one of me lungs collapsed, first thing upon leaving hospital I was lighting up at the front doors...

Life too short to quit the things you enjoy, besides us smokers are becoming more rare than Amiga users... ;)

If you really want to give it up, then bust of luck to you mate, your going to need it... :)

(Probably get a grumpy reply now once the old nerves start twitching... ;)

    Nah not me =)
I did some bidding on a swedish site for an Amiga 1200, I think i might continue on that one also cause it's only about 75euro at the moment.

I have posted updates on stuff that i've bought recent, an accelerator from amigakit, and a 1200 from some ebay seller in germany.
