A4K trials and tribulations

well it's taken about a year and a half to get my A4K finished, i've had broken tracks, acid damage, faulty pots, incompatible components, fitting issues, blood, sweat and sulks, but finally it is all up and running, would i do it again? lol, not a chance!!
Am i pleased? hell yeah! it's been a journey but a worthwhile one i think. 040@25 is plenty fast enough for my use (wing commander CD32 and Superfrog aren't that demanding)
I love the custon case, mostly the lit up boing ball side panel
cheers, JuvUK

I must be either very careful or just a jammy git when it comes to Amiga hardware as I've never had even one peice of kit actually break down on me in over 20 years.
I noticed on the forum a lot of folk having problems with battery leakage, my oldest turbo board a GVP 030 from the early 90s still has the original battery with no sign of damage and it only get used about a dozen times a year.
Wonder if I'm just lucky or what...Posted 10-29-2010 at 06:02 AM by Franko
