I want this blog to capture most of the things I learn and experience on the machine and on related topics (such as my classic HW). The tone should remain personal and I plan on updating at least once a week.

I have never built a computer from scratch, so I was a little excited when yesterday the new tower case arrived. Consciously I waited till late hours of the eventing to guarantee for a quiet undisturbed time. Nothing should break my concentration. Armed with only a phillips screwdriver I started the transplant.
To my surprise most of the connectors in todays hardware are somewhat fool proof. I didn´t have to look into the boards maual except for the pins to power, leds and reset.
Just like in the old case the Microphone-Input isn`t plugable on the board without modification. Also I failed yet to contact Vesalia for a backplate for the SAM-board. So it still isn´t perfect. But it was up and running again within an hour, and ... darn - doesn´t it sure look cool?
Today I will have a look at HDRec, maybe I can cut Bitnacht episode 56 on it.
Oh, and one more things. I just noticed that the stack value in a project icon can override the stack-info of the application (on classic systems at least). Funny this hasnt bitten me before. Oh, maybe it has and I thought they were ramndom crashes.
