I don't really like the olsen twins that much anyway. They just want fame! Anyone can do what they've done! I don't think they're that attractive either.

Howard Stern must be happy:-) They were cute kids and I guess people figured they'd blossom into some sex godesses. I dunno about you but at 18 they still look too much like children to me, and too mousey looking. Maybe they're just late bloomers.
Actually considering their fame nowadays seem to hold on by a thread, making B-movies that don't do very well, I'd be willing to bet they are just about washed up. They aren't cute little children anymore and they aren't exactly sex symbols. Makes you wonder how far they will fall, if this is really the case.

(i'm paraphrasing. howard has three daughters, so he has no sexual interest in very young girls.)

In most states, yes it is 18. It is regulated by the state though. IIRC South Carolina is the lowest at 14 with some states at 15-17, but the majority are 18.

Actually no. Drinking age is federally regulated at 21. They can smoke cigarettes and if they were boys they could be drafted at 18.
Hoya!

14!!??!!! Wow!

Heh, weird. So they can have rampant and unbridled sex with either gender, own a gun, chain smoke, and legally murder other human beings, but aren't allowed a beer afterwards.

@ iamaboringperson,
I remember from the news that some boy found a 2 headed snake back east somewhere not to long ago and named it, Mary Kate and Ashley

Hehe! We have the same thing here:
You can have sex when you're fifteen. When you're eighteen you can vote, you can get drafted, you can smoke, you can go out drinking in bars, etc. You can't buy anything in a liquor store until you're twenty, though.

Well....if Bush is re-elected, there have been rumors and many quotes referencing them changing the draft to include women next year. :-( There is even talk of mandatory draft after graduation.
Personally, I don't care for the Olsen twins. I couldn't stand Full House as a show and if I remember correctly, they're worth 300 million. Hopefully those two were smart enough to invest in other, profitable businesses.
Dirty, old men probably care more than anyone else.

They should retire. Why the hell not? Once you have enough to live on, what's the point? Life becomes a whole lot better when you retire, and if you do it THAT young, I'm sure it's even more so.

As long as you keep it invested, the longer the better :-D
It only takes about 30 years worth to become perpetual. If you have enough to last 30 years, you have enough forever, barring some catastrophic market crash.
(Even then... Real Estate is pretty safe)

So that beaUtiful and err, 'well-developed' Swedish girl in the bikini who kept giving me the eye and who was staying at my hotel in Barbados would be LEGAL!!! {bleep}!
It might be legally acceptable, but would it be *socially* acceptable? Like, would her parents have minded if we'd got it together? Her being about 16-17 and me 25! :-o

That would probably be a borderline case, and up to the parents in that matter.
I got together with my gf, who was 21 at the time, when I was barely 17. I have a 24 year-old friend, who is seeing a girl that he met when she was 17. No complaints from parents there.
It basically depends on your ethnical background, and wether you have a well-paid job or not :\ (I am
so going to get flamed for that! :-P).

Let me put it this way:
I wouldn't lift any eyebrows if a 25 year-old guy dates a 17 year-old girl, neither would anyone that I know.
I can't speak for the entire nation, though, and you'd surely be looked upon as a perv, if you'd keep jumping from girl to girl.
I know a girl who got child with a 38 year-old guy when she was 19. That is extreme. :-)

No big deal, I think. There's a magical limit of 29 to dating 17+ teens where it stays acceptable. Parents are more relaxed about older boyfriends too, because they're a bit less wild and less likely to knock up their daughter and dump her. In theory. :) No point in dating them so young though - you'd never keep 'em.
