Recently a worldwide opinion survey was run by the United Nations. The
only question asked was: *"Would you please give your honest opinion
about solutions to the food shortage in the rest of the world?" The
survey failed. In Africa they didn't know what *"food" meant. In Eastern
Europe they didn't know what *"honest" meant. In Western Europe they
didn't know what *"shortage" meant. In China they didn't know what
*"opinion" meant. In the Middle East they didn't know what *"solution"
meant. And in the U.S. they didn't know what *"the rest of the world"
meant.

But in the Eastern Europe, they did knew what opinion means?
And in Western Europe, they did knew what honesty means?

That's along the lines of this one I heard the other day.

In the United States, they say:
"It's ten o'clock; do you know where your child is?"

In France, they say:
"It's ten o'clock; do you know where your wife is?"

In the UK, they say:
"It's 10 o'clock; do you know where the sheep are?"

In Canada, they say:
"It's ten o'clock; do you know what time it is?"

In Canada when they say it's ten o'clock, it's ten thirty in Newfoundland!
