Depends who you are, where you are and who the police are (or were). When hiring police officers one has to be a bit careful.

heh, that country's falling apart at the seams. Yesterday I read Shias were protesting against the constitution - it seems they want their country and it's laws based on Islam. I'll be surprised if they ever see free elections in Iraq, but one thing is for certain, real democracy will never exist in Iraq.

Oh anything is possible, but in this case its highly IMPROBABLE, not least the fact that the way in which this whole war was waged. TBH the US has done Osama a big favour, he always wanted Iraq to be a muslim state, the bitter irony of this situation is that in this "War against Terror" that its quite likely the US and its puppet nation state mates (read UK and Spain) have played into their hands on so many levels. They demand that we change the way the west deals with people, now you can be imprisoned on the slightest hint of you being a terrorist, our civil rights have been drastically erroded, and there is fear. It must be the islamic extremist equivilent of Yule for them, the cost of 6 pilots training has been repayed over and over again as the west runs around like a headless chicken.

Personally I don't see anything wrong with that to a point, as long as it isn't the Taliban. Nothing wrong with taking a few Hamurabi-style fundamentals and building common law around it. If it helps bridge the gap I'm all for it.

911 was just a sting. Ever since, the US has been slipping into anaphylactic shock.
