You know, you might be right on this.

It's a sad state when the Secret Service can't trust the Democrats
not to try to assassinate the president by digging punji pits where
he might walk.

They have said they will do anything to get him out of office, and
John Kerry does know how to build these things.

To imply what they are doing is anything different then what the Secret Service normally does for Security is silly, Fluffy even you have better things to do then sit around and post this nonsense.

Bush's security seem smuch escalated beyond that of former presidents to the extent of keeping protesters out of the line of sight of the president even. And the level of security he insisted on in the UK was unprecedented.

No wonder he feels comfortable sneering "Bring 'em on!" There's a lot of protection between Dumbya and potential trouble.

Yes. INteresting question in itself. Did terrorists get suddenly smarter over night, or did the administration and it's intelligence agencies just get dumber when Bush came in.

Of course, if there had been no terrorist attack, they wouldn't have been able to kick the Taliban out of Afghanistan and build the oil pipeline, and they would have had a hard time going to Iraq to kick Saddam out just like Cheney and Rumsfeld and even Bush always wanted to do, and they wouldn't have been able to get the Patriot Act passed (which they already had written and waiting) since under normal circumstances congress would have had the time to actually read it before voting.

I guess the guys in the towers and the planes came out a bit behind, but Bush hit the jackpot.
