Hi all, are there any monitors that will work straight out of the box with the amiga computer?
preferably a flat screen? I may be wrong but i could swear that some of the NEC Multisyncs where compatible (if im right?) but cant seem to recall which one(s)?

TIA :)

There are many posts about that topic.
To give you example, I have one, by Dell model # SR2320L work fine in NTSC and PAL 50/60HZ. Has 3 inputs, HDMI, DVI and VGA, so I'm using the DVI for my PC and VGA for A1200. Got it for $130.
Very nice monitor.

Or use a video-to-scart cable and hook it to a 2nd hand TFT tv with scart entry :)

Do you mean at both 15 and 31KHz?

even the ancient Nec 3D I used to have did not to the 15Khz (but was brilliant with my FF)... I agree with Effy, just get a cheap tele with scart.

So with one of those SCART TV's will you be able to display in HAM modes and Super Hi-Res and such without Pixel flicker?

I had the Dell (which is broken now) and I was limited to what modes I could display in. Super Hi-Res always looked like crap.

XDelusion : I honestly don't know how Ham modes will look like when you use a scart cable, it just seems like a simple and cheap solution to connect your Amiga to a TFT tv with scart entry. The other cheap solution is to use a vga connector and hook it up to any giant TFT and use the screenmode DoublePAL Hires Noflicker, I used that for myself years ago when I got internet broadband with a 19" CRT display, worked like a charm but not extremely fast as that DoublePal screenmode . If you happen to have a rca video output that displays colors then you can still hook up an old RGB monitor that way so you'll always have a working screen ... not really the best option but maybe the cheapest ... just my humble two cents ...

You really should get bigger LCD-tv, not a monitor if you don't want to buy flickerfixer also.

I've 19" lcd tv, picture is rock solid :)

The only NEC is an old CRT model, 3D that will sync from 15 to 38 - has great color, BUT is only 14"....
