Ever wanted to block posts from specific annoying users? Don't want to be logged in to have the ignore feature working? Fear not, now it is possible to block those annoying posts:

http://sintonen.fi/temp/amigaorg_spam_blocker.user.js

(You may need to edit the embedded regexp to match your particular needs)

Firefox: You need Greasemonkey add-on
Chrome: No additional requirements, just install the script
Opera: No additional requirements, just install the script (rtfm)
Odyssey Web Browser: Save the script to "Scripts" directory, select Windows/Scripts... from menu, click Add and select amigaorg_spam_blocker.user.js

Ooooh... just had a look at your wee piece of crappy code, think I'll sue you for using my name and harassment... ;)

A bit like when you cried to Photobucket like a big girls blouse when I used your avatar in a picture... ;)

You really are sad aren't you... :D

Yep, he is mostly harmless and easy to slam with arguments.

I have troubles to install it under Firefox 3.6.18 under Linux. I have installed Greasemonkey. When I click on the script link a requester pops up but when clicking on "Install" nothing happens. After some googling I have created the directory ~/.mozilla/gm_scripts but that didn't work.

Why bother A.org has it's own perfectly good "ignore" feature... much more advisable to use that than mucking up your browser with some sh!ty piece of crap written by an android... :)

Hmm, Greasemonkey can be a bit hard to get working sometimes. Here are some troubleshooting instructions (http://wiki.greasespot.net/Troubleshooting_%28Users%29).

I'm not sure I could imagine amiga.org without Franko. That would be like separating Kickstart and Workbench. One just doesn't work without the other. :-)

On one hand he is helpful and funny. On the other hand he does tend to talk ****, as we all do from time to time. He certainly has the Marmite factor, and seems to have divided the site accordingly.

This is just one big personal attack thus thread is closed and moved. It would have been fine if the script just said Username instead of Franko with instructions that Username is to be replaced with the username of the person you no longer want to see posts from and to copy that line for each additional user.

Feel free to start up a more generic topic on this issue. There is always the ignore feature here.
