Space Invaders highscore broken after more than 27 years.

Since 1982, Scott Safran's 41,336,440 points on the classic arcade game Asteroids has stood as one of the most heralded video game records of all time. That record has now been quashed, more than 27 years later.

Space Invaders is not Asteroids!

The HS beaten was on an Asteroids machine ;-) Wow. Not just the HS achievement, but the zombie like level of awareness of much of today's media.

going back to space invaders on the orignal arcade game on the very first sheet if you shoot one of the top men last when you are going to clear the sheet,he will appear on the screen taking up the hole screen. ( this only works on the very first sheet only on the original arcade game )

you don`t get anything extra for it. and don`t forget if i remember every 13 shot you get 300 points from the space ship.

i know it Asteroids,but iv just posted facts about space invaders.

i don`t know of any way to gain extra points on Asteroids other than you leave one rock and take-on the small space ship.
