Oh yes, for you to have a quick whine at Amigakit in a public forum over something that could have been easily solved by contacting them directly for a little bit of CUSTOMER SUPPORT.

Now, Amigakit are one of the stalwarts of miggy retailers and those video's of yours just helps them to eventually decide it's no longer worth it to carry on.

If you ask questions, you get answers. Their door is always open for CUSTOMER SUPPORT (got the hint yet???). You'll find the team at Amigakit very approachable and knowledgable should you wish to use their services - even to the point of giving you help on products they don't even sell.

I have to join ZeBeeDee on this one and jump to AmigaKit's defence. Like most Amiga users who have used AmigaKit.com, I have had brilliant experiences with them and with the amount of praise they heap on A.org its obvious they are doing something right. I even asked them how to take my A4000's CPU card out once and they told me without me having to buy anything (at that time) and they didnt even say the standard "you didnt buy it off us so we cant support it" line that a lot of retailers (rightly so) say.

If you have a problem, use some common sense and call the retailer FIRST. Since the prevelance of the internet, manners and courtesy have gone right down the toilet. People are more interested in going onto a forum or blog and bitching about it than going down the proper channels to get their issue sorted.

Guys, I hope that these sorts of comments dont dis-hearten you. You are a credit to the Amiga scene and Im sure the majority of other users here will agree its a Good Thing (tm) you are around :) I for one appreciate being able to buy stuff the old fashioned way rather than via some auction site or other second hand store where there is no guarantee or support. Thanks again fellas :)

This is ridiculous. If it was a whining the video wouldn't have been made. Have you ever heard about a shop selling parts and they won't work together? So your telling me that i have to send my open Compact Flash card back to amiga? Well it cost €19.14 and shipping it back would have been around the same cost for me. So a company can't take any critics? thats just lame. I'm not saying anywhere to not buy this product. But why waste money on something that won't work?

This movie is more to help newcomers to the amiga world and trying making it more simple for everyone. I know amigakit is a great company and have alot of great retro stuff.

Just to try and sort this out. You were not sold something that doesnt work.
When the adapter was bought, it was bought without a CF card (meaning we didnt have any stock of compatible CF cards).

By compatible, I mean certain rev mobo's refuse to work with certain CF cards. Which is the problem you have experienced with the seperate card you bought (which was not advertised as being compatible with pcmcia adapter).
If a card had been supplied (i.e. Bundled) it would have been tested to make sure it was working fine.

We have spent a great deal of time and money, on tracking down CF card's that are compatible with all revision mobo's, So this problem doesnt accure.

With regard to the greyed out button problem, that was just an unfortunate bug, that was missed in regard to KS2.x / WB2.x. This has since been fixed and anyone experiencing this problem, should contact us to get an updated version of EasyADF.

Bit confused by this reply. What do you mean COPY?
Why would you need to use a copy of workbench?

Because your original Workbench disks are write protected and stored in a vault, correct? ;)

Yes, but you dont have the workbench disk in the drive, so how is that relavent?
Its used to read a few files off it, then you HAVE to put the EasyADF disk back into the drive.
