SOLD

Hello - My father was an Amiga "collector" of sorts, and I am trying to sell his equipment as part of settling his estate. Since I am not "E-Bay" literate, I'm posting this in hopes that someone here local to the Cleveland, Ohio area may be interested. Here is what I have been able to identify:

COMPUTERS & SYSTEMS:
1. AMIGA 1000 WITH KEYBOARD, MOUSE, KICKSTART & WORKBENCH DISKETTES, AND AMIGA 1080 COLOR MONITOR. EPSON FX 85 PRINTER

2. AMIGA 1000 WITH KEYBOARD, MOUSE, KICKSTART & WORKBENCH DISKETTES, AND AMIGA 1080 COLOR MONITOR.

3. AMIGA 1000 WITH KEYBOARD, MOUSE, AND AMIGA 1080 COLOR MONITOR. APPEARS TO NEVER HAVE BEEN USED, STILL IN ORIGINAL WRAPPING.

4. AMIGA 2000 WITH KEYBOARD, MOUSE, AND AMIGA 1084S COLOR MONITOR. THIS WAS AN OFFICE RESEARCH PC; PRETTY SURE IT HAS INTERNET HARDWARE UPGRADES.

5. AMIGA 4000T (Tower System) WITH KEYBOARD, MOUSE, AND AMIGA 1950 COLOR MONITOR. (Mfg 1997, AMIGA GmBH).

6. COMPLETE AMIGA CDTV SYSTEM, NEW – NEVER USED, STILL IN BOX

7. COMPLETE AMIGA CD32 VIDEO GAME SYSTEM

8. GATEWAY DESKTOP – DOES NOT BOOT UP; HAS CD & 3-1/2” DISKETTE DRIVES IN TOWER. MAY HAVE BEEN CONFIGURED TO WORK WITH THE AMIGA 4000 SYSTEM. PURCHASED AROUND 2000.

9. COMMODORE TRS-80 STILL IN LEATHER COVER.

PERIPHERALS/ACCESSORIES:
(1) KDS XF-7B 17” CRT COLOR MONITOR
(1) PRIMAVERA COLOR PRINTER – NEW, STILL IN BOX
(1) CD-ROM READER – GATEWAY?
(2) BERNOULLI HARD DRIVES
(3) AMIGA EXTERNAL DISK DRIVES
(1) CYBERSTORM PPC223 ACCELERATOR CHIP (RECEIPT FOR $970.00 FROM 2000)
(2) ARIADNE II & (1) PICASO IV ETHERNET BOARDS FOR AMIGA 2000/4000 SYSTEMS
(1) TELEBIT T2500, (1) AVATEX 1200, AND (1) RACAL MDE34 MODEMS
(1) NETGEAR DS104 DUAL SPEED INTERENT HUB
SEVERAL CHIPS LOOSE-PACKED, CANNOT IDENTIFY AS OF THIS TIME
POWERSTRIPS, CABLES, POWER SUPPLIES

SOFTWARE:
NUMEROUS BOXES OF MANUALS, CD’S, AND DISKS FOR AMIGA. LINUX. C, C++, PYTHON, KINDWORDS, AMIGA SHOPPER, FLIGHT SIMULATOR, AND OTHERS.

I would like to sell all of this as a complete lot. If I were to have to package this all up for shipment outside of Cleveland, I'm guessing at least (2) pallets of material. This could be done, but I would prefer to not have to go through that ordeal.

Best Offer. Cash in hand in my driveway takes it all! I can be contacted via my email address through the Forum.

Thank you for looking!

and that is the reason why prices will not go up forever.. as Amigas get more and more rare, so do we, Amigists.. :/

9. COMMODORE TRS-80 STILL IN LEATHER COVER.

TRS-80 wouldn't be Commodore. It would be Radio Shack or Tandy.

I don't know if I could afford one of the units or not.

@Erie Stinger

I wish you would split this lot, or at least sell some bits of it separately. I'd be interedted in the CDTV and the Ariadne and Picasso boards...

(1) CYBERSTORM PPC223 ACCELERATOR CHIP (RECEIPT FOR $970.00 FROM 2000)

Just FYI, this one item alone could get you about US$700 today.

I think you'd see a lot of interest from people here if you'd split this up a bit. I can't drive to Cleveland from my home in NY to pick any up though.

I can understand not wanting to do a lot of leg work and I'm sorry for your loss.

However, just a little bit of splitting and shipping would get you a lot more for your dad's nice collection.

For instance I'd be interested in the
AMIGA 4000 WITH KEYBOARD, MOUSE, AND AMIGA 1950 COLOR MONITOR.
depending on condition and price. One concern buying used Amiga desktops is that the battery inside them can leak with age. If this A4000 still has it's battery there is a good chance it's leaked. Without knowing that it affects the value to someone like me.

I know you'll get a lot of free advice to help from this forum if you want to split this up.

If you deside to split up, and the Cyber Storm PPC is a complete accellerator, I'd like to give you an offer for it.

I'm still interested in the items mentioned before: the CDTV and the Ariadne and Picasso boards...

Please let us know if you decide to split the lot.

Thank you!

Whatever you do, make sure you do not get ripped off for your Fathers stuff. Some of this gear is worth a lot of money! It would seem a shame to sell all your Dad's stuff for way under its value, since he obviously spent some time and money collecting everything.

Take the time to find the current market prices for your items and sell accordingly. Maybe you could make a post over at Amibay (http://www.amibay.com/) as well.

Good luck with the sale.

Thanks to those who have sent PM's and emails - I will try to respond to them today. My only access to the Internet is at work, so please be patient!

I updated the original post regarding the 4000 unit - it is a 4000T unit, serial plate says it was built in 1997 and it has the Amiga GmBH tag on it. As far as the battery goes, I have no idea where to look on this -- anyone have instructions on how to inspect it? There are no outward visual signs of leakage through the case or anything like that; the unit fired right up and operated but it was plugged into a power strip. It does not turn on without being plugged in.

As far as separating the units - there are (2) reasons why I would prefer not to do this -
1. Time and space are not on my side. I don't have the room at my house to store all of this if I were to try and separate it and "part it out", and the clock is ticking on getting the Estate settled.
2. I am not 100% sure that the boards/chips that I have listed are what are in the boxes I found, or installed on one of the computers. The 2000 was in use at his office; He did work with the Ohio Supercomputer Group on that unit, and I'm sure there are upgrades on that PC. The 4000T, Gateway unit, and one of the 1000's were at home with one of the souped-up phone line Internet connections (DSC? The term escapes me this morning), and he also did research work on them. I have not been able to inspect the boards/chips that are in the boxes to try and identify them. Dad was pretty good at electronics and PC stuff, I'm not. So the last thing I want to do is sell a Picasso board or an accelerator chip, only to send the original Amiga part.

About the only things I would consider selling separately are the CDTV and the CD32 systems, as I'm fairly confident that they are complete and "as advertised". At this point, I'm not ready to do that.

I do not have the original packaging on the 4000T unit, its' monitor, keyboard, & mouse, or for the CD32 Video system. The (3) 1000 units are in original boxes as are the CDTV system ((2) boxes), and the 2000 is in what I believe is the original box.

I will be able to go and inspect the boards, chips, and the software "library" in much more detail on Wednesday, and can then edit the posts and/or respond more intelligently to your inquiries on Thursday.

Thanks again for the comments and suggestions.

@Erie Stinger

Hi, if you're willing to sell the CDTV separately, I endorse my interest on it. Please let me know.

Thank you!
