AWESOME! I hope we get the same extra modes as Indy AGA (minus bandwidth limitations of course).

Sweeet! Count me in when the time comes. I've been putting off getting a Microway or other FF/SD for this baby. How cool it's a Denise deal too, which means the video slot can remain open for a Toaster :-)

Is the the Flicker Fixer for the A500? The one that goes on the Dennis chip? If so what are the two (grey) cables coming out of it?

good news indeed. no rush on this, with the economy being crapshoot, one can wait.

yes. probably one is VGA out and the other is debug/JTAG (programming) (just guessing)

Looks like CloneA is alive and well then :-)

This is truly good news, to see new hardware for the Amiga.

One of the pics shows the board installed in an A3000. What are the advantages of indivision ecs over the A3000's built in scandoubler?

I believe it does vertical 50->60 Hz conversion which makes it more compatible with modern lcds. Also it probably has custom screenmodes which the ECS denise doesn't have.

By any chance does this mean that this will only solve flickering for VGA monitors or also for the CRT monitors (like the 1084S D1)? I am asking just to see if this is what I need for my A500 :)

I don't think it will work with the 1084. You should really take a look at the manual and see if does flicker fixing WITHOUT scandoubling (as 1084 most likely won't support VGA frequencies)

Ha Ha

Someone else has sussed it out then too.

The Indivisions are designed with VGA style display devices in mind only.
The x1.25 output option opens the door to just about any VGA LCD panel being used.

It's impossible to flicker fix without scan doubling.

It also seems simpler than the AGA versions, the onboard logic might cost less too - could we conclude from this that the final price will be lower than the AGA ones?

Yes, a bit lower price is something already mentioned by Jens in first place. Unit seems to be substantially less complex, but other than that it's shooting for a wider range of Amiga models, too. That could support larger production run and thus reduce final price.

Anyway, it's really great to see project is making a firm progress, let's hope for some more soon !

great news! i've been toying with the idea of a ff/sd for my 600s for over a year.

if i understand correctly, this will work in a 600 ONLY with the 603 ram expansion installed AND the removal of the floppy drive (for space?)?

no problem about the floppy drive for me, i use a 2.5" ssd anyway.
