I think there is a bug in ArcadeGameSelector. If you scroll to an item in the list off the bottom of the screen, the images seem to go out of sync (the wrong one is displayed) and the wrong game is loaded. Has anyone else had this problem?

The AmigaE source for AGS is here:
http://www.paradroid.net/ags/arcadegameselector.e
Hopefully someone can look at it and see what's wrong. I did try to work it out, but I don't know AmigaE and although it's pretty readable code, I just couldn't see what is wrong.

You need version 1.1 - Even if says 1.1 its probably not- 1.1 Works!.
KG got a nice menu out or coming out - Better than AGS.

Ahhh thanks. I'm using 1.0 (well, according to SelectorBKG.iff ;-)) I can't find 1.1 anywhere. Any ideas where I can get it?

Yes, I've seen it. But doesn't it only work with his WHDLoad "packs"? Or could I add my own entries to it?

Well, it looks like I might be using the latest version (101 from here (http://www.paradroid.net/ags/)). So this must be either an unresolved bug or something I've managed to get wrong in the config - though I can't think what!

Well AGS 1.1 seemed to fix the problem! I might upload it to Aminet for others to use, but not sure whether I'm allowed to. Anyone know the author? I can't see any contact details anywhere!

Just thought I'd post in here...
motorollin: you are right in thinking that my menu is designed to work with my whdload packs, but you can also display what you like in the menu, you just need to manually edit the database file (or create your own).
It's pretty close to a beta release so hopefully a fully working version will be out this side of xmas.
Here's a pic for those who have no idea what I'm taling about :)

@KG
Your menu looks brilliant! I can't wait to try it. It's good to know that it can be customised to run other software too. I read on EAB that it's currently at about the same level as AGS which should do much of what I need. Any chance of an alpha version? ;-)

Just thought I'd post a little WIP video which I've just posted over at EAB.
Shows the menu navigation working a little bit...

Looks great! Can't wait to see the screenshots and box scans changing as you scroll through the games. Looking forward even more to trying it out! (Hint hint... ;-))

I will really try to get the beta out as soon as possible, I have a hell of a lot on this week and am going on hols for a few days on Friday so it will realistically be next week at the earliest.
I'm really eager to get a working version out soon so don't worry about me forgetting about it. Cheers for your kind words :)
