OS 3.9 and GENESIS TCP/IP stack.

Unlike Miami I cannot tell the Genesis Wizard that I use usbpegasus.device as it expects there to be a device file in the DEVS: folder.
How do I get Genesis to use usbpegasus.device?
:-D

Instead of selecting the (non-existant) device from the folder, type the name in ("usbpegasus.device") instead.

I wondered the same thing when I set up Genesis on my A4000 using a USB Ethernet device.

Still not connecting.
If I give it static values it says it is connected but the net does not work.

I have checked the genesis.conf file.
Nothing wrong there.

Miami can no longer be bought so that is why this is an issue.

Genesis/AmiTCP doesn't supports DHCP.

point as Gateway your router IP address and set the DNS as well in GenesisPrefs

No DHCP?

After boing bag 1 the Genesis Prefs work fine.
They offer DHCP.
Strange but OK. I'll give it a try again.

iirc it offers "dynamic" as an option when defining IP address, subnet mask, etc, however this is through BOOTP - not DHCP.

Genesis does not support DHCP.

Make sure that you enter the IP address of your router in the DNS field as well as the gateway field (iirc this is under a different tab).
I had difficulty getting genesis to work with Deneb also - iirc I ended up reinstalling genesis from the OS3.9 CD, then it magically started working!

Here's a link to the post I made last month when I got my Ethernet adapter working. It lists exactly what I did with Genesis to get it going:

Hope that helps.
