View Full Version : Cloanto Amiga Explorer works with Minimig

Just tested my Minimig with Amiga Explorer, works great. Serial port connected to my PC with Cloanto's recommended serial settings. It might be a work-around solution if you want to preserve things like programming or DPaint creations on the Minimig until we hopefully get SD card write access. Of course you have to have a PC plugged into next to the Minimig, maybe defeating the purpose, but I usually have both running anyway.

So you got the MiniMig to write the files to any connected PC device?

That is great news, not earth shattering, but interesting.

Do you reckon minimig-II will be an 1200 into the same space with an ec020? :-D

Yes, so far I have transferred a DPaint image from the Minimig to my PC via serial cable and a text file from my PC to the Minimig's Ram disk. I don't see any reason why it can't be used to save game positions that let you save to Ram disk, such as Sim City.

So you can't write to the SD card with MiniMig? Not even within an ADF?

At the moment, no. In the future, absolutely.

ADF Write access = 1 day developer time.
I think I can do it, but got no board atm :)
