I recently picked up a 1084S, but no cable. Is there a cable that I can buy at Microcenter or any PC store, or do I have to get a used cable off Ebay?

You can use a composite until you manage to get hold of a RGB Cable, It'll do the job. (quality results may vary, obviously) but at least it'll be useable

Ebay is your friend, but not always a friend do what you want...

If you have the skills, you can make your own cable. It's not trivial, but it's not rocket science, too. If you have a soldering iron, the desired length of cable and the proper connectors, do it yourself!

For the pinouts: 1084S DIN 6 pins. (http://pinouts.ru/Video/C1084a_pinout.shtml)

Make sure you have this connector on the back of your 1084S. If not, give us the right connector.

BTW: the Amiga RGB connector pinout (http://pinouts.ru/Video/AmigaVideo_pinout.shtml)

Bizzare, because that's exactly the cable I have for my 1084s. Go figure.

The "middle" pinouts are intended for DIGITAL video only (=16 colours).

It's just a case of finding the correct connector for the specific 1084.

Just looked again at the back of my monitor to be sure... it's a 9 pin D connector and the Model # on the monitor is 1084S-D1

I think I know what I need!
