Dear Amiga Friends:
I have a nice amiga 1200 desktop. I am thinking about upgrading to a 1200 tower + 060 accel.
But my main application I would use is aladdin 4d (original before Nova)and it has a hardware lock (anti-piracy)-dongle- that goes into the joystick port # 1.
Will a tower be able to have such a joyport...so I can plug in the h/w dongle? If the tower can not do this..then i don't have use for it..for my main reason to upgrade is to use aladdin 4d on a better/faster accelerator.
Thank you,
rednova

Our towers allow the full use of the joystick port on the A1200.

Umm, that depends which tower you use :-?
I built my own from a standard AT tower, and made IDC ribbon cables to the back of the case, so I have all connectors available.
I recently inverted the motherboard in the case to gain access to the pcmcia port :-o
Do you really need to change the case with a 060 ? I thought they were cool enough to run in the standard case :-?

Homer:
you are right.. I do not need the tower to upgrade to an 060 -what was I thinking?- but I do not know if an 060 will run cool enough on the desktop. If I just buy the 060...I save lots of money on upgrading my amiga.
Thanks!!!

A good thing to do with those DEAD original PSUs (brick) is hack a baby AT PSU into it (only with large bricks, the small ones don't have enough room inside).
