Can I get a notification via email when new PMail arrives for me? I can see how to get notification when specific forum postings happen but don't see how to do it for PMail.

I seem to remember a good while back wayne turning that feature off as things were getting out of hand with it.

Yes that's correct. We used to have this feature but Wayne had to turn it off due to the strain it put on the server.

Buy a Mac with OS X Leopard and do what I have done (http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm244/motorollin/aorg/dashboard.png) :-)

What the heck moto!? How did you get those panels separated like that? Does it login for you automatically as well? Impressive.

It's called Web Clip. You go to the web page in Safari (OS X's browser) and then click the little scissors icon on the toolbar. Then you drag a box around the part of the page you want to see in the dashboard and it creates a live widget from that part of the page. It updates every time you go in to the dashboard.

It does log in for you, since it is actually Safari displaying the page, so as long as you have a cookie saved with your username and password you will stay logged in.

Look here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7ArZp6FiIM) for a demo of Web Clips.

A strain hardware wize or bandwidth wize?

Both I think, but mostly bandwidth. Remember a while ago we used to get severe slow-downs or outages? It was partly down to the server being tied up sending emails IIRC.

Correct. Imagine 6000 users, 250,000 postings, etcetera.

Thanks very much for the Safari tip. That works rather well.
