installing 3.9 BB1 & 2

I have tried to install BB1&2 several time in the distant past and was stymied each time. Is there a tutotial which addresses the updates' internal peculiarites? I seem to recall needing to personally transfer some OS files around and I think one of them had an old Install script which interfered with everything I tried to install.

I'd like the updated OS but not the nutty misinstallations.

Dont know exactly, but be sure that you have the installer from the 3.9 CD on your HD. I remember that i somehow had an old installer on the HD after installing 3.9 over 3.1 and the Boing Bags install script refused to work properly.
