As i`ve mentioned in another forum, i`ve just aquired an a1000 in ntsc. some would say a genuine american amiga.
Will uk migy bits work on it? I`ve heared an A570 will plug in, sif that so, then does that mean a gvp drive for an a500 with an 030 accelerator will work, or am i sermissing to much.
Any urls, mods or pointers i would be extremly greatfull for.

Hi,
AFAIK, the A1000's side expansion slot is inverted with respect to the A500's... So while an A570, etc, may plug in, it'll do so upside-down or back to front (can't remember which), which may make for an interesting computer desk as well as fun and games with CD insertion, but at least the A570 is caddy-based!!

InTheSand's right, the A1000's sidecar expansion slot is backwards, so the A570 will face backwards. You could wire it up the proper way, if you wanted to, but it's probably not worth the trouble.
As for NTSC/PAL compatibility with accessories, I don't think there's a problem in regards to that. I could, of course, be wrong, but from what I remember, there shouldn't be a problem using PAL accessories on an NTSC machine (as long as they're not related to video. Take that with a grain of salt, though :)

Would i be better off trying to get hold of a ntsc monitor for it, or scouering the web for a 7.09 uk crystal
