Since I see C= and Amiga stuff here ocasionally, I thought I would have a thread so I can warn people if anything shows up there. The website is

and I'll list off a few things I spotted there in my recent trip.

In the AS-IS section:

early version (v1 or v2) of DirOpus manual $1.00
ADPro manual $1.00
C= A500/600/1200 PSU brick $4.00
C= VIC-1541 floppy drive no $tag but will probably be a few bucks.

Out by the cash register:

C64 game cartridge (defender)
C= thingy that allows you to hook your Ami up to a TV

Since Weird Stuff Warehouse is a sort of museum of old computer technology, albeit very messy, I was amused to see items like a HUGE IBM 5" external floppy drive. If you thought the C= external 5" floppy drives were big, these dwarfed those. :-D

Seen at WeirdStuff 17 Sep, 06:

A complete C= 128 with monitor and 1541 floppy drive. They had it running. It was amusing to see the Microsoft copyright on the screen.

Hmmm.... looks like they've fixed the web site. Last time i followed a link there from Make magazine the site made no sense at all.

It's was about as confusing as the store/museum itself. You really gotta see the damn place. Jammed with stuff you wouldn't believe. Anyone desperately in need a 12" floppy drive? They have 'em!! :lol: There's a ton of the deitrus of the tech blowout really cheap. Servers, networks, Sun stations, older laptop accessories, every damn kind of cable and connector you can think of. Equipment from hospitals and science labs. You can spend hours in there, especially if you're a geek.

Seen at the WSW Dec 19 06.

Complete A500 in original box with mouse, brick power supply, and manuals. Comes with a keyboard anti-spill cover. Looked in very good shape, little dust, and no dirt.

As an aside, I saw at Urban Ore, and old Osborne portable computer.

Seen at Urban Ore in Berkeley Ca, Mar 13, '07

Two C= 1701 monitors, listed for $25 each. No chance to plug them in, but they looked in decent physical shape.

Got to poke around at WSW today, and there was a "new" C= item.

It was an external keyboard, but one I've never seen before.

The color was white, the connector was an angled DIN type from what I saw, there were no F1 - F10 keys like on your average amiga keyboard, and it only had the words Commodore in the upper right.

Probably something for the C= Colt series, perhaps? Maybe a C128D KB?

Sharp guy! Looks like it was the keyboard from the PC10-III. Anyone itching for a C= clone keyboard, WSW has one! :lol:

Amiga gear seen at the WHouse 4 December 07

One Supra Ram board for the A2000, populated with 4 megs of ram and looking in decent shape. according to the BBOAH, it was the later rev. model. Its available for $25 as-is.

Wow, GREAT find! I love Weird Stuff and Urban Ore in Berkeley rocks the house. You just never know what you'll find in that place. About 2 years ago I found an old Amiga 2000 with a Video Toaster and I believe a GVP 040 card. The Amiga was dead, but the accelerator card worked when I plopped it into another Amiga 2000 I had at home.

Never quite figured out the Video Toaster. I believe it had some sort of other audio looking boards with it. Been thinking about possibly selling the boards to someone who could actually use them.

I just had to register when I saw that someone else actually checks out these local wonderful places for retroCOMPUTING in the Bay Area. Let me know if you ever want to meet up & dig around for stuff together.

Ah! You're the one who snagged that! I saw it too, but didn't have the $$ or space at the time so I had to say bye bye.

What kind of sound card did it have?

Spotted July 21st!

The C= A2000 Ram board that I mentioned earlier.

A small container with about 20 to 30 IDE/Compact Flash adaptors for the insane price of $5 each!

Had to buy one of those. Soon as I find a decent size CF card, that puppy is going in my A4000!
