Greetings,

Some of you may, or may not know - that some time ago it was intimated by Mike Halvorson of Impulse Inc. that they were considering releasing the Imagine source under some class of GPL.

In typical Impulse style; feck all has been heard of them since.

So, the admin over at Imagine3D.org has put together a petition and a few questions for the kiddies at Impulse, and truth be known, it could use a few more names on the list.

If you're of a mind, pop over to:
http://www.imagine3d.org/petition/index.php and stick your name on the list.

Cheers,

Andy Kinsella

That was one of my favorite apps. Way back in the day when MS bought BlueRibbon (Bars&Pipes), I spoke with some one at impulse (I think it was Mike) and they told me they wished MS whould show up and by them out for millions of $$$ too. :-) Now Mike may give it away for free. I think I had version 2.9? I know there was a version 3.x. Where did it end, version 4... 5 ... 6?

If you're an Imagine CUP subber - Martin has released v5.19 today.

There is a new version of Imagine For Amiga (V5.19) available for download
from the ACUP download server.
This update is only recommended to be installed if you use AmigaOS4 (beta).
Further details can be found in the documentation supplied in the update
archive.

@Plaz

Being bought out by Microsoft may not be good for us, but it would be for that Mike fella. I remember back during the B&P thing thinking it was not a good idea but, frankly, getting loads of money for work you've been grinding away at for years and years is developer heaven. Even if it is Microsoft giving it to you. Sure, they won't release any new versions of it for Amiga, but your work will live on in some form. That, too, is developer heaven.
