Actually this is old news, but I came across this interview last night and I laughed so much I thought should translate and post it here to share with you guys. Let me fill you up with some background information first.
This guy, called Hasan Mezarci, was elected to the Turkish grand assembly with the refah party (the old fundementalist islam party). After being elected, he has made some controversial speeches about ataturk, annoying pretty much everyone (except the islamists) and having his untouchablitiy revoked and getting a prison sentence. After some time, he got loose (maybe because of some european intervention about freedom of speech, or escaped, I'm not sure) and escaped to abroad (probably the US) . After a few years of silence, he appeared again proclaiming himself as the second coming of jesus christ, and people of all abrahamic religions should submit to him. At first, people thought he was trying to avoid prison sentence by trying to play mentally deranged, but when it was known that he was serious, he served the Turkish media as a laughing stock for some time, then disappeared into obscurity again.

Hasan Mezarci, who has claimed that he has been given the mission of prophethood by God 3 years ago in prison, made a special interview for Hurriyet.
Mezarci, claiming himself the prophet, said that "my religion's headquarters will be in Istanbul."
I warn Turkey
"Attacking me is attacking God. Everybody should know this and avoid blasphemy. I warn Turkey and Turkish nation on this aspect. They called all prophets crazy including Muhammed(p). They called me mad too. These assaults make me happy, because they confirm my mission."
Army's Power is not enough
"Before I open myself, God has opened my prophethood, He has shown it to people and made them believe. The prophet, jews, christians and muslims has been waiting for centuries has finally arrived. God has shown this to everyone. People believing in my prophethood is increasing in number everyday, and it will continue to increase in the following ramadan too and will involve masses. Nobody can close what God has opened. No government, no army's power is enough to stop a prophet. God has not forsaken me to vultures in the past, he will not forsake me today as well."

Now it's time to write history
"God has given me the holiest of titles and called me "messiah".(actually prophet) Now it's time to make history. As you see I've fallen into Turkish media like a thunder from the sky. Christ has emerged in Jerusalem, organised in Istanbul and spread through out the world. Islam emerged in mecca and spread from Istanbul too. Therefore Messiah's appearance in Istanbul is very natural, because Istanbul was the capital for Christendom and Islam."
Fathers, listen to me
"People from all walks of life may submit to me as they did to mohammad, Turkish, Kurdish, Sunni, Alevi, gambler, alcoholic, sinner, sinless etc . I embrace everyone. I'm a savior. I call uopn the fathers and imams who don't believe in me. Mohammad, Jesus christ and even Moses learned they were prophets later on. How can a normal person know what mohammad didn't know ? Because of this, fathers like Yasar Nuri should shut up and listen. Or they will be punished, not by me, but by God's hand. The Bible and the Qoran acknowledges the coming of the prophet. If they think that's not me, they should announce who is it instead. All of these are clowns."
I have 11 believers
"Eleven people in the worms city believe in my lordship. This will find millions of people in a short time. Thousands of people upon seeing me now will say "Yes, I saw him in my dreams, he is the lord". When God tells me to return to Turkey, then I will return without hesitating for a second. In this period, Istanbul will be the capital of Turkey, and then the whole world. I will build a new state on the basis of the Ottoman empire. Today, mosques are used for nasty deeds. (now you have a point there)I will redeem the house of God from these filth."
I'm a Sheep with kina
Before claiming his lordship, Mezarci has gone through a long training period.
He has ordered 3 suits of his yellow silk shirts and robes and kept them in his drobe. Mezarci says he wore this outfit by the order of God :
"My hair, ear rings, jewelery all came into existence by the permission of God. These colors have a meaning. How else did you expect a prophet to dress himself ?"
Mezarci, saying that all prophets had a staff, so he also has one, explains the kina on his feet (kina is a special dye used in special occasions) :
"My grandfathers used to dye kina on the feet of the sheep before they slayed them in sacrifice. I myself have suffered a lot, been a scapegoat and been a sheep with kina, so I dye my feet with kina too."
Mezarci told that it was matter of time to claim his lordship and added : "Watermelon does not go ripe until the time comes. If you cut it early, it will be sour. Therefore I waited until I am ready to claim my lordship and did so when I become ripe."
When asked about his wife and children's (in Turkey) thoughts about his prophethood he says : "Ms Sule, my wife, has seen me one year before. Some of my children are in Istanbul, some of them are in Aydin. So they haven't seen me yet."
The Earthquake was my messenger !
Hasan Mezarci noted the recent earthquakes in the Turkey with these words :
"The earthquakes experienced in the last year are omens from God. The public didn't understand them. God has destroyed the houses of Muslims, Nationalists, and Kemalists without distinction. He gave the message that I will destroy you all if you don't come to senses. This quake showed the coming of jesus christ and here I am. Now, everything will change, including the system (government). They should submit to me, and pray to me. There is no other way to salvation."
Why does he wear yellow, and sport an ear ring ?
Mezarci, who has been tried and prisoned in the refah party period for insulting Ataturk, explained his yellow robe and ear rings :
"I don't understand what kind of prophet the people expected to see ? Did they think Jesus Christ would come in blue jeans and neck tie ? What kind of outfit would they like to see me in ? I am Jesus Christ in flesh, and I came as him. As for the Earrings, I wear them for the same reason why Yavuz Sultan Selim wore them "(one of the most prominent Ottoman Kings, father of Suleyman the magnificent, who wore ear rings, and was rather a fashionable king).
