View Full Version : The Power Of Hulkamania!

Hey Yo!
I was playing English Pool yesterday with Sumner7 and co. I ended up playing the best at pool out of the lot of us. I then realised why i was playing so damn well, and why the balls were potting so easily. It's obvious: Red and Yellow balls (for Red and Yellow Hulk Hogan) and the Black ball (for nWo Hollywood Hogan). I believe the reason why i played so well is because i am a loyal Hulkamaniac, and the power of Hulkamania powered me to a number of victories.
So remember, if you are playing English Pool, and want to do well, then turn to the power of Hulkamania!
Rules of being a Hulkamaniac:
Say your prayers!
Trian Hard!
Eat your vitamins!
I hope this helps people into finding a new religion and believing in a God that DOES exist.
God Bless You,
whabang

Red and yellow balls/hulkamania have as much connection to religion and philosophy as Luciano Pavarotti has to pole-vaulting.
You're too generous X-Ray! ;-)

You guys are legends, I leave the site for weeks or months at at a time, but I obviously still know you guys fairly well.
e.g. I knew a thread with the title Hulkmania would have been created by CU_Amiga, and that it would be met with derision.
Thanks for helping keep my day bright!

The Hulkster got a lifetime achievment award from the WFW (or whatever it is now). It was cool to see Hogan just talk straight.
When he mentioned his daughter, some dudes started cat-calling and Hogan bursts, "Give it a rest guys, she's only sixteen."
That was the only burst until the end when he gave us the "whatcha gonna do" comment.
Hulk kicks ass.
Hulk kicks ass.
Correction.
He *appears* to "kick ass". I hate to be the one to break this to you McNorris, but they are only acting! ;-)
-edit
Anyway, Davey Boy Smith (The British Bulldog) was the best as he did proper wrestling on the BBC at saturday tea time in the early 80's, years before he did WCW and WWF. UK wrestling was hillarious, as they did actually really hurt each other sometimes.
My favourite american wrestlers when I was a kid were, The Ultimate Warrior and that bloke with the beard who had a fit wife, can't remember his name. I hated Ravishing Rick Flair for some reason I can't recall.
-edit 2
It was Macho Man Randy Savage!! What a dude! ;-)

Ravishing Ric Rude and Ric Flair are different people. Ric Rude is dead now (heart problems) and Flair is just an *******.

Having been front row at a WWE Event in 2003, I can assure you that it is, in fact, 100% real athletics. I would place it more akin to a "stunt show" than a sport, but it was fun as hell to watch.
I even got pictures of when "Spike Dudley" damned near got a concussion (for real) because they missed a table drop right in front of me. He didn't "wrestle" for 6 months after that and we really did think he was frickin dead...

Was that when his head went through the table but nothing else did? It was a table outside the ring at the ramp side?

Yep. He was four feet away from me when that happened. Instead of hitting the center of the table, his neck snapped over the edge and he went kerplunk on the floor.
The stupid thing about the whole situation was, as "Spike" sat on the side of the ring cringing in REAL pain, they apparently decided that "the crowd wants to see someone go through the table" so they picked up "the hurricane" (who was trying to help "Spike" at the time) and dropped him instead. "The show must go on" I guess.
I've actually uploaded a few choice images from that event for your enjoyment if you want to see them (http://www.amiga.org/WWE_2003)

I think thats (Bill) Goldberg in Waynes pictures!
Regards,
It is Goldberg, and no. I'm not a fan. I went through a phase which was driven by external influences, but haven't paid attention to wrestling for a long time now. I know it's stupid to say, but the "storylines" got *too* stupid. That, plus the fact that they rotate "the championships" every week based on which wrestler sold the most t-shirts and kit the week before really made me lose interest. I was a big fan of the Harts, Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels and a few others that I've long-since forgotten.
Most of these wrestlers, like Rick Flair have really long-since outlived their era and become a joke. At least Hogan had the good sense to retire.
That being said, I will say that that one event was fun as hell and 10x better than the WCW event I had seen years before. I was never a fan of WCW (or what I called the Wrestling Retirement League) so when they all merged, I really didn't know (or care) about any of these "new" people that were all supposed to be so big and famous. Most of the WCW inbreeds were simply clones of WWE wrestlers anyway. For example, Goldberg was just a cheap clone of Steve Austin.
The WWE does a LOT to drive up the audience in a live show and it really is a great show, IF you can get good seats. We got lucky and I ended up on the front row that night. I wouldn't have enjoyed it nearly enough in the nose bleed section.
Just a note, it's easier to get single tickets up close than two or more seats together.

WCW was also called the WWF Rejects Club here ;-)
I mean, Flair, Hogan, Nash, Hall, Savage, Rhodes (and Jr) and probably countless others I've forgotten. Goldberg was the only wrestler in the 90s that WCW made themselves. The only wrestlers they made names out of was Sting and Vicious.
Nice photos btw.
Nice photos btw.
God I need a new digital camera... Looking through all the pictures I'd taken throughout the last few years, I desperately miss my camera.

As a youngster I was very much into WWF, they used to air it once a month on NBC. I remember getting angry at one of my friends for calling it "Worlds Wealthiest Fakers"....I *so* wanted to believe it was real, LOL. Still some pretty insane skill and training those guys possess though..
cheers
:pint:
--edit-- ...also remember hurting myself badly "playing" WWF with the siblings...human bodies just aren't meant to handle repeated body slams off the stairs, from a sister twice your weight...

Yep. I agree with you, the storylines are too ridulous now. We all know wrestling is fake, but wathcing wrestling is like going to the movies or watching TV. It should be believable. Apart from the wrestling, it is unbeliveable. Anyway, the ratings are starting to drop now, so they have to do something.
WCW kicked ass during 1996-98 (the peak of wrestling). What WCW had, that WWF didn't was REAL wrestlers. Ones that weren't just big and monstrous. We are talking athletes here who would have kick ass matches. Remember, it was WCW who intorduced Jericho, Mysterio, Benoit, Geurerra, etc. And it was WWF then took those wrestlers off WCW. In 1996, the only decent wrestlers WWF had were Shawn Michales. The Harts and a couple others - many wrestlers at the time in WWF were aimed at little children. It was WCW that introduced "modern wrestling" So don't diss WCW too much :-)
Regards,

None of which are characters I had ever heard of, or care about whatsoever. All of the sudden when the merge happened, they were shoved down our throat like they were important. Punk kids one and all, each a pitiful clone of existing WWF wrestlers.

To the masses yeah, but they were actually wrestling for ECW and Japan (Benoit was one of the Tiger Masks) for a while before being spotted by WCW.
@Wayne
I'll agree, most of them were a clone, but not those mentioned above who were in WWF before the invasion (with the exception of Mysterio). Benoit and Jericho were both trained by Stu Hart, and Guererro and Mysterio are actually cruiserweights of the like you wold have never seen on WWF before. I know Taka Michinoku and Christian and a few others were cruiserweights in WWF, but they are absolute {bleep}e compared to the Mexican cruisers.

Well. You certainly have everyone on your side. But fear not - you will slip up. OK, smarty pants, do a WHOLE paragraph in Dutch (roughly around 10 lines long or longer) talking about you and your Amiga setup, or anything! Now, i think you have used a Dutch translastor. Very handy for short sentences, but crap for longer doses of words. If you want to prove yourself, then you shall do the above with no problems whatsoever.
And odin, there was no need for that remark.
Regards,
I'm getting kinda sick of all this crap to be honest. It's very childish, and is borderline on making me want to just ban the whole damned lot of you to be done with it.
Grow up gents.
