Caught this on the news; the way they presented it, the guy had been struggling after losing his job,* when videotape_preacher sent the cry up that 'a financial crisis looms, followers should use the next months to stockpile their millions and invest in real estate' or something.
Money's the root of all evil, huh?
*(Okay, RTFA, 'about to lose,' fair enough.)

Well, the act of going on a shooting spree generally pegs a guy as a bit off-kilter, so if the question is what got him exactly that nuts...
Meanwhile, "Investigators have apparently ruled out an impending job loss as the gunman's motive, (http://www.nbc5.com/news/4285643/detail.html)" so much for easy answers.
(I want to hear more about the church, there's something wonderfully Phillip K. Dick about getting the messages on videotape and meeting in a hotel... Not that there's anything wrong with that, truer to principle even, but if this guy did lose it over economics, maybe something with a less ephemeral 'worldly presence' would've been a help to him. In turn, those create physical symbols for others to rail against, blah blah blah.)
Humans were invented by water so it could get up hills
I agree with that!
