Hi folks

It feels like having searched the hole internet, finding nothing. I need a guide (to DiskWiz 0.25B) for dummies how to make an ADF file back to an Amiga-playable game on the Amiga.
I have no idea how to install the program and I have no idea how to use it...

Please help me....

Regards

There's really no guide, but it's a simple program.

Install:

Copy the diskwiz executable to your C: (or somewhere else that's in your path).
You'll also need the bootblock.library if you want it to check for bootblock virii.

Usage:

diskwiz <from> <to>

See the examples for some details. But, if you just want to extract an ADF to a floppy the syntax is:

diskwiz some.adf df0:

you need a dms tool. dms is a disk image.
http://aminet.net/util/arc/dms111.run
i think this will unarc and give you the dms program and its something like "dms disk.dms TO df0:" or similar.

edit: meant to say, this runs on the amiga.. not pc. so you need to get the .dms file to amiga too.

Copy both the DMS111.run file and the Blizzard1260.DMS file into your Amiga's RAM disk.

Run the DMS111.run file from the Amiga RAM Disk. It will de-archive itself into various files. The only one you need is DMS.

Insert a blank floppy disk into DF0:

Open a Shell and type in the following (press Enter after each line):

CD RAM:
DMS RAM:Blizzard1260.DMS DF0:

i have tried this in shell.

on command prompt i type:

cd ram:

then DMS RAM:Blizzard1260.DMS DF0:

i get

Unknown Command RAM:Blizzard1260.dms.

What's the difference between DiskWiz and the program ADF2DISK? That's what I've been using all these years. Never heard of DiskWiz...
