I'm looking for an Amiga 3000 or 4000 in good condition, Please let me know if anyone is interested in selling.
I Lost a couple of autions on ebay...local computer store asking way too much for a 4000 in questionable condition...getting frustrated.
Any help finding one would be great.
Thanks!

@DMC12:
Where do you live who have the luck of having a local Amiga-dealer?

I live in Denver Colorado...
Back in the day they had tons of Amiga's, they were a authorized Newtek dealer and did repairs of all sorts...a total candy store. That was then (eight years ago), now they are a sketchy PC store, although they still have a few left over Amigas in the back room (A4000T, A2000, and A3000) but none of them are in good condition (all taken apart, pieces everywhere) asking way to much for them and couldn't guarantee any of them work/no refunds.
Hence the reason I'm here!

@DMC12:
Forgot to tip you about placing an advert on AmiBench (http://www.amibench.net/).
How much are they asking for the Amigas btw?

OOPS! Sorry about the name, I edited the post.
4000T - $600
3000 - $300
If they were in good condition and I knew they worked, I'd jump on it. But I'm just getting a bad feeling... Thought I'd check around a little bit.

$600 for an A4000?
3 years ago I was the owner of a A4000T. My 8th computer (and my endless love). I was send a special request in germany and they send me the tower almost in 8 months. The price is about 600 or 650 Euro then! At 1998!
My frind, now at my desktop take a place a PC. Nothing's gonna change my love for my earlier A4000T!
My machine right now is on my closet, carrefully on the box. I keep in mind to power-on again sometimes in the future but I have no time for that yet.
I wish that i send this A to you (at the half of prize) but i afraid that's impossible. I live on Greece and the distance is so long!
Keep on searchin' my friend!
:-P :-P :-P
I wish you a good luck!

set aside $150 and go shopping for a A3000 ebay..they cost between $100-150 for a decent 3000 w/o a monitor (dont need one..use a PC monitor)

A little Off topic but...
Will the 4000 work with a PC monitor?

Not out of the box. You`ll need a Scandoubler/Flickerfixer that shifts the 15KHz Videosignat of the 30 KHz minimum any VGA-Monitor needs.
The A3000 has a Flickerfixer onboard, so you won`t need one of those (cost about 40-50 EUR used)

drop me an email and I will do business that way.Rather than clutter up the forum. Its a pretty nice setup and I will let it go for a good price.
