why is the search button on this forum not on the main page?

the search button is hidden away on the faq section...
which is probably the last place any newbie would look...

Anyway , it was just a thought, about the convenience of having it on the front page instead of , er, somewhere else...

Have you been having a retro moment and stuck using 640 * 512? :-P

The search button and window is on the main page, but it might be a good idea to fit it somewhere at the top (so it's noticable) on the main forums index too.

Although there is a problem with that as there's no column on the right to keep it in the same place as on the other pages...
