Hum,
i seems as if Professor Ian Wilmut (?), the scientist who paved way for Dolly the sheep has been found hanged in his holiday home...
He pioneering research into human embryonic stem cells and paved the way for the creation of Dolly the cloned sheep...

This comes just days after British scientists were given permission to perform therapeutic cloning using human embryos for the first time...

Dolly the sheep`s creator dead

Creator? It really does sound like Mary Shelley, lol.
Sorry :-)

I saw an article in a magazine the other day, where someone suggested "Why don't people have twins, then they could keep the other for spares..."

At first I though this extremely tasteless. But then maybe it's satirical, born out of frustration with the way biotech is going and if so its bang on the money.

But noone will never stem (ahem) the tide of academia...

Being a twin myself I wouldn't like to get spare parts from my closest sibling...

Greetings,

Maybe he wanted to get cloned himself, either that or probably could not take the left and right pressure. Too bad.

To the Japanese, killing ones self is an honorable act(harakiri) or face a lifetime of shame and regret.

:-(

Regards,

Gizz

@ Vincent:

That was good.

@ Blobzie:

You must be careful because that humph! is similar to the mating call of the Himalayan yak and I'd hate to see a young Amigan lady ...errr...inconvenienced.
