This is a nice system indeed. It has a rare LIVE! board with the LIVE! overscan software. It looks so complete I think you'll agree :-)

A 1000 with a lot of floppy drives and a genlock?

@jeffimix

Thats not a Genlock.............what it is is a Framegrabber and more! it is sort of an early Toaster with the ChromaFX feature. it allows you to add that sort of stuff live to incoming video.................so you can do Live shows in front of crowds, with pshycadelic colors on the video in real time.................Many effects can be added to the keys on the keyboard and just tapped and the effect goes in realtime.you can customize effects.
Add the INVISION software and you got a little powerhuse in your hands.
Also works with the Mandala, and the MindEYE software and hardware.

Totally Amazing stuff, being that it was created in 1987

True, don't get me wrong though, looked rather nice, especially for somethinh that age. Genlocks are used for putting gfx onto a video feed but that's all they do, if it can do more than it's not just a genlock yeah... the e-bay ad was trying to sell it more than really describe it :)

Isn't this in the wrong forum? I mean, if you're going to spam you might as well do it in the corresponding forum.

So that "live" thing was the selling point? It's not even pictured. I wonder how much my A1000 will get on ebay. Keyboard? Heck, who needs that? :-D

@That_punk_guy

??????

@weirdami
The LIVE board is pictured.....its the same color as the A1000 and is so clean that maybe it looks invisible :-)

if you look at the expansion port, you can see it. This board is pretty awesome is all I can say, and was 10 times more awesome in its day. And no, the only selling point wasn't that...........its a really nice A1000 in pretty good condition.

What that_punk_guy meant was that this thread should have been posted on the "Amiga on EBay" forum not the "Hardware Issues and Discussion" forum.

Besides that, I think wepeatedly bumping his thread and hyping it up is kinda out of order.

And his lack of gwammar bugs me.

@ that_punk_guy

First off I must say that I was not aware they had an Ebay forum here.

Second, I was not aware that I cannot promote an item and inform my fellow amigans whats available.

Third, I do not have bad grammar. I just have a Bad PC keyboard that causes me to skip letters, and I am always in a hurry to get my idea out, that I don't bother putting the paragraphs in the right order.

Fourth, I was wondering if I always bug you............if so, why? Im a pretty nice fellow and I really don't intentionally want to bother anyone..........especially People who use Amigas, and who are my fellow Amigans. I consider most of you friends as far as the Amiga is concerned. So basically I am sorry, if I bugged you previously as its really not my intention...............if it were my intention, I would make it extremely obvious that I am doing it on purpose.

So no worries please :-)

There's a difference between that and ramming it down people's throats.

I've been looking for the Mandala software for years. I've even got a business card from the old pulishers of Mandala, but I can't find the software anywhere. If you've got it, send me an email! :)

The MindEye software won't help you without the specialized hardware. I think that it is still available from Geodesic Designs.

There was one other piece of sfotware that allegedly used the LIVE board. It was some sort of interactive virtual reality program, but I don't know what it was called. Someone gave me a copy, but I haven't been able to find it. Any clues?

Whomever won that LIVE board is in for a treat. It is still one of the coolest pieces of hardware out there. It's only now that the Playstation2 has the EyeToy that there is anything like it in the world for playing around.

me too....but with no luck there was also some software that turned the amiga with the live card into a MIDI theramin so you could do a fine impression of MR.JARRE :-)
